Embossing
Embossing options for your cards
Get that high-value look with embossed personalization. Frequently used for credit card numbering, embossing is a time-honored, traditional form of personalizing your cards with alpha or numeric characters. Gold, silver, or black colored tipping on the raised characters is standard.
Embossed fonts are standard worldwide. Available is the 7 CPI (Characters Per Inch) large numeric characters and the 10 CPI (Character Per Inch) small alpha or numeric characters.
7 CPI font can have 21 characters per line starting at the left most position on the card, including spaces. A standard card will allow 5 lines of 7CPI font. Again the 7 CPI font is numeric only.
10 CPI can have 30 characters per line starting at the left most position on the card, including spaces. A standard card will allow 6 lines of 10 CPI font. Again the 10 CPI is numeric and alpha.

Yes. If you have information printed on the back on the card you should make sure that you are not embossing over important information. Embossing punches the card and creates a raised character by reshaping the card. Printed text on the back of the card may become distorted from this. Cards that have a magnetic stripes will require that any embossing stays away by at least 1/4 inch.
Yes, center, right or left justification.

We are able to use data files that are Fixed Length, Excel, Comma Separated Quote Qualified and Delimited (examples: Tab Delimited, Pipe Delimited etc…). Data should be provided with a data layout showing what fields need to be used to personalize the cards and where that personalization is to go on the cards.
