At the beginning of July, CARDSource employees took part in Simon Says Give’s July High Five For Supplies drive. The goal of this drive is to collect essential school supplies for children in need. CARDSource's community action team assigned point values to specific items: backpacks, calculators, pencils, scissors, and more. The rules are simple: collect the most points for your team by the end of the month to win!
It’s no secret that the CARDSource staff likes fishing. Therefore, it was no surprise this year when there was an employee-run fishing event for the 2016 fishing opener!
In 1970, the first Earth Day gave voice to an emerging consciousness, channeling human energy toward environmental issues. Forty-six years later, we continue to lead with groundbreaking ideas and by the power of example. Earth Day achieves a rare political and social alignment, enlisting support from Republicans and Democrats, rich and poor, city slickers and farmers, tycoons, and labor leaders. (earthday.org).
In CARDSource’s first big push of community action, we divvied our staff up into two teams and headed off to Feed My Starving Children in Eagan to make some meals for children in need! Combined with several other groups of volunteers, we packed a total of 304 boxes of food. To put this in perspective, this is 54,000 total meals, which will feed 148 children for an entire year!
Continuing in the giving tradition of the season, CARDSource has decided to participate in 360 Communities’ Armful of Love program.
Last month, Tiffany represented CARDSource and volunteered at Feed My Starving Children. She was among 80 other volunteers and helped pack 115 boxes with 24,840 meals!
We had the opportunity to network with our fellow printers, organized by PIM Olive Club. Our group gathered at a local restaurant for dinner, drinks, and socializing, prior to the main event. Watching our local baseball team St. Paul Saints take on Winnipeg Goldeyes. We won!
