In order to share content with another user, it is very helpful to package the file prior to sending it. This puts all of the images, fonts, styles and any links you might have all in one place, making it easy for the user to use the same file. Because you are not amble to embed images within InDesign, this makes it highly important to package files before sharing.
You’re ordering plastic cards—gift cards, membership cards, or the many other options—and the topic of lamination comes up. The card is already plastic, so why does it need to be laminated? This is a common question with many answers.
The customer's logo and design is reproduced on a plastic card and a unique number is added to each individual card. The vast majority of these are constructed using PVC (polyvinyl chloride) plastic.
Gift cards are a simple and effective way for businesses to drive revenue, attract new customers, and encourage repeat visits. But many business owners still ask the same question: How do gift cards work?
In simple terms, a gift card works by linking a unique card number to a balance stored in a gift card system or point-of-sale system. While the card itself may include a barcode, magnetic stripe, or printed number, the actual dollar value is typically tracked in a database rather than stored on the physical card.
It’s no secret that the CARDSource staff likes fishing. Therefore, it was no surprise this year when there was an employee-run fishing event for the 2016 fishing opener!
In 1970, the first Earth Day gave voice to an emerging consciousness, channeling human energy toward environmental issues. Forty-six years later, we continue to lead with groundbreaking ideas and by the power of example. Earth Day achieves a rare political and social alignment, enlisting support from Republicans and Democrats, rich and poor, city slickers and farmers, tycoons, and labor leaders. (earthday.org).
In CARDSource’s first big push of community action, we divvied our staff up into two teams and headed off to Feed My Starving Children in Eagan to make some meals for children in need! Combined with several other groups of volunteers, we packed a total of 304 boxes of food. To put this in perspective, this is 54,000 total meals, which will feed 148 children for an entire year!
Continuing in the giving tradition of the season, CARDSource has decided to participate in 360 Communities’ Armful of Love program.
Last month, Tiffany represented CARDSource and volunteered at Feed My Starving Children. She was among 80 other volunteers and helped pack 115 boxes with 24,840 meals!
We had the opportunity to network with our fellow printers, organized by PIM Olive Club. Our group gathered at a local restaurant for dinner, drinks, and socializing, prior to the main event. Watching our local baseball team St. Paul Saints take on Winnipeg Goldeyes. We won!
